1. For Which Users Is This Distribution Not Suitable?

Ultra Performance Tuning is not a general-purpose desktop operating system or standard gaming distribution. Please do not install this system under the following conditions:

• Gaming PCs: Real-time kernels (RT kernel) guarantee strict sub-millisecond scheduling determinism but can decrease average graphics FPS and cause stuttering due to the scheduling overhead of constant task preemption.
• Old or Low-Spec Computers: Because the system completely disables power saving, ASPM, and thermal clock throttling, running this configuration on older hardware can trigger severe processor stress and hardware locks.
• Daily Home/Office Use: For general tasks like web browsing or text editing, this system carries unnecessary thermal strain and significant security vulnerabilities.

2. Security vs. Performance Tradeoffs

To achieve ultimate computational speed and sub-microsecond latency, standard processor security barriers are completely bypassed:

• Security Mitigations Disabled (mitigations=off): All CPU microcode mitigations against hardware design exploits (Spectre, Meltdown, MDS, L1TF, ZombieLoad, SRBDS, etc.) are turned off in the kernel. This lifts pipeline blocks but leaves the processor open to side-channel attacks.
• Web Browsing is Highly Unsafe: Running web browsers or running unchecked scripts on this system is extremely discouraged. Malicious JavaScript can exploit side-channel vulnerabilities to read kernel and hardware cache memory directly.

3. Potential Hardware and Software Damage

The system parameters force computer components to operate at extreme, unthrottled performance levels, which can cause the following severe issues:

• Thermal Stress and Hardware Degradation: Disabling link power savings (ASPM, SATA PM) and locking the CPU governor to performance mode keeps all processor cores pinned at peak frequencies. On laptops or poorly cooled cases, this can lead to massive thermal build-ups, throttling failures, or permanent hardware damage.
• Watchdog Diagnostics Bypassed: Shuts down hardware and software watchdog timers. If the operating system encounters a critical real-time loop lock, the machine might fail to reboot or shut down safely, compounding heat issues.
• Filesystem Corruption and Data Loss: In real-time high-priority execution, sudden lockups or power cuts combined with highly frequent dirty page memory flushes can result in permanent filesystem partition damage or complete data loss.
